Statement
My subject matter is again a simple and ordinary chair representing a place that allows me to make a calmly pause in the path and in which the viewer is also welcome to have a seat.
This subject is placed in different places of the frame in order to represent the beginning, the transition and the end of a journey, of an experience, of a relationship…. I think that life is made of different experiences or circles and all of them have a beginning, a transition and an end.
- The Beginning is represented in the first image by placing the chair facing the camera in the foreground and in the in the lower left corner with a path behind it symbolizing the future.
- The Transition is represented by the second, third, fourth and fifth images.
- The End is represented in the last image in which the chair is facing backwards and is looking to a window sealed with cement placed to the right of the frame leaving a big empty space to the left. It symbolizes the end of a journey or of an experience.
